History of the Society
Pediatric Society of Thailand was founded in 1961.The Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand was founded in 1989 which was diverted from the Pediatric Society of Thailand. Two organizations have been working collaboratively for training pediatricians and promote health of Thai children.
Mission and Vision
Mission: To be a core institution promoting physical, mental, social and spiritual health of Thai children
- To qualify residency training in general and subspecialty in pediatrics
- To continuously promote potential knowledge of pediatricians and health care personnel
- To develop a standard of Thai children’s health care
- To be an information center of child health
- To cooperate with organizations regarding health and welfare of Thai children at local and international level
- To protect and promote integrity and cooperation among Thai pediatricians

To improve professional standard of Thai pediatricians to international qualification

- Training general and 13 subspecialty in pediatrics
- Annual scientific meeting for pediatricians
- Scientific meeting for pediatricians in the rural area 3-4 times/year
- Annual intensive review for residents
